My girlfriend just bought an imported 94 wrx. Everything is fine apart from a beeping sound fron the dash every so often.

Does anyone know what this could be as it is driving her mad.

When does it beep... On startup..? If whilst driving, which gear..? What revs..? What speed..? What road surface, ie. specifically bumpy..?

The beeping sounds usually under 3000rpm, on smooth road surface, usually when coming to a stop.

Is it a single beep, or several beeps, long or short?

Several short beeps, usally in a bunch of 3 i.e beep, beep, beep.........beep,beep,beep,................beep,b eep,beep.

I haven't got a clue really. It's on a smooth surface, so it can't be a loose wire. It's at lowish revs, so it can't be any sort of speed limit sensor. It's definitely some sort of sensor, as it seems to be doing it in the same way each time, in groups of 3. As to what it's sensing though, God only knows... Sorry mate. Get her to turn the stereo up or something

...I get a similar beep, that sometimes becomes a longer beep at around 30mph...is this something to do with the alarm by any chance?
