Angry

I installed a DV in MY97 last night...and have noticed a big loss in performance...The car is standard, aspart from a Scooby Back box..

Though sounds great... ;-)

Talking

;-)

Sounds sweet...

I will be leaving the DV in the car, and looking into increasng the performance of the car other ways..not sure what i will do just yet, but am working on it..

I have been told cuttign the bottom of the original Air Box should make a difference in performance...Is this true?

I think you're referring to the resonator. I wouldn't advise removing/cutting that, as it prevents water from entering the air box/air filter/MAF sensor/turbo compressor/engine... you get the picture!

What's your car, current mods, etc? I'm sure we can come up with some safer/more beneficial mods...

You could decat the downpipe, fit a manual boost controller (along with boost gauge and Knocklink of course), and possibly a replacement panel filter...

Well the car is standard.....apart from the Fordge DV...

I was hoping to get the following done to it in the next 6months...for performance...

Blitz Sus Air Filter
Apexi SAFC II
Apexi Boost Controller
Blitz ner Spec type Exhaust Decat (i think its a type 2, not confirmend this)
