Hi:
Does anyone have designed, built or tested a WRC Style FMIC? Cons? Advantages?
I guess David Wallis have done one of this... Are you there :-)

What do you mean by a "WRC style FMIC" Fredy?
If you're talking about the packaging used by the Impreza WRC 2000 and onwards that has the radiator low and at an angle and the FMIC on top of it, I'm not sure anyone's produced that solution for fitting to a road car.
If you want to know what the advantages are, the whole front packaging is neater, with the ability to fit a bigger I/C core, better airflow through both rad and IC and out through the top of the bonnet, and a slightly lower centre of gravity as well.
The downside is expense, and the need to make quite major modifications to the front of a roadcar chassis to fit it all in.

my car is currently without a bumper and the I/C looks similar to how you describe.. Im sure there was someone on here doing pretty much as you describe, however its not one of the configurations I had considered for my car.
