the one on the left hand side is a second sender unit. because the tank is not flat (shaped for the prop to run through it )it needs two senders to get a reading from both sides then it takes an average reading

So when I get my uprated pump, to replace the knackered one. Which one do I swop and how hard is it?

Cheers
