Question

Apparently there are three or four different types of lambda sensor available for a MY93 wrx. I know it is a 3 wire one but is a platinum one or zirconia one that I need? Apparently they give different readings.

On my MY95WRX 5 door, it is the 3 wire type on a long loom, attached to the headers.

I got the part from a subaru dealer who ordered it from japan - the part no was:-22690AA260. On the sensor itself, says BOSCH A24-6412093X020.

It took 3 weeks to arrive - delivered for £135 including vat. Graham goode tried to charge me £280 for the same part.

You can buy the UK version (short loom) from BRD but will obviously need to splice your existing cable an fit a connector, otherwise the cable will not reach the headers.

The other thing you can do is if you run a decat downpipe which has a blanking plug in place, is remove it anf fit the lamda in there which is what subaru did on the later model cars.
