Question

Probably quite a simple explanation for this but my "check engine" warning light came on while at between 5 1/2 to 6 thousand revs in fifth gear. I slowed down, let the car idle for 3 mins, switched off and so far no more problems. I have a MY00 red wagon with full de-cat H&S system.
Should i be overly worried? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pedro

Look here for instructions on how to read the fault codes off the ECU. Information is your friend, and once you know what caused the CEL, you/we will be in much better position to say how much of a problem it is.
