Today i looked at my speedo and it wasn't working but as soon as I lift off the throttle it goes to the correct speed, and when I accelerate it goes back to 0 but very jerky....anybody have a clue what this may be??

The odometer etc is still work correctly.

ive had an intermittent prob on my STiV, occasionally it drops down 2 zero, very briefly, fortunately it happened during a TEK3 remap with BRD who told me that the sensor from the gearbox was the problem

I was wondering if it may be my speedo converter that is fecked as it still reads the miles on the odometer and the trip meter????

I plugged in a tt with wiring harness to the connectors the tt harness had which was originally from a STI4 and it then blew the fuse to the heater fan....could this be related????

not sure were the converter fits, i.e speedo or box end, i was refering to the sensor that is used to normally pick up your speed

Can anyone help???

Is the MY95 WRX speedo electrical or purely Mechanical as it seems that it going to 0 when accelerating and then trying to go to the original speed that I am doing when I lift off .

Also where are the sppedo converters from KPH to MPH located??? So I can take this out to rule out the possiblility that this in knackered

Cheers

isnt the speedo on the 95 mechanical cos you have to get the mechanical pin for the converter so it goes into mph. not sure though

Ahhh cool, so it must either be the part in the gearbox or the converter behind the intercooler??

i will have a look at the weekend.
