underneath the rear bumper on the offside of the car next to the fuel tank is a box. Is this the fuel pressure control solenoid and if so whats it do, obviously controlling the fuel pressure but for what reason.

sorry it may make it easier if i tell you its an sti 8 lol

 

think you,ll find thats the charcol canister, for sucking up fuel vapour

 

from the tank etc, not letting it vent to air, emissions and all that
