can an ecu from a 95 STI-RA be used in a japanese WRX of the same year

STI RA have a fifth injector just after the throttle housing The STI RA ecu will a fuel map when to crack that particular injector A jdm WRX doesnt have this injector

So IMHO it will run but not that great

Yes, they are interchangable. The fifth injector on the STi-RA is not controlled by the ecu and is not functional.

The 95 STi-RA ecu runs a bit of extra timing, fuel and boost than the 95 WRX. You would see more benefit from getting a remap chip for your existing ecu (Scoobyecu etc.)

ok unfortuneately i dont have that option .my ECU is faulty and subaru want 1100 euros for a new ecu and my m8 can get me an STI-RA ecu from the same year for like 120 so ive no other real option
