after givin my98 some stick the back box rattles looks ok any ideas

probably the internal perforated piping has come away from its mounts so will be ratling around on the inlet/outlet pipework.

like john says it could be the actual internals of the silencer coming adrift.
The other thing it may be (if sound seems loud inside the car) is to check the positioning of the exhaust pipe. It may just be touching somewhere and causing a vibration.

On close inspection, I found a tell tale rubbing mark on the pipe where mine had been touching.

...something else to look at is the heat shield above the back box. I've had my system on and off a few times now and now find that the shields rattle at certain points when driving ...sounds similar to loose baffles but slightly more metallic becasue the sound isn't as muffled.
