Ok, so you're probably thinking that this is worn pads, well I had my RS42's replaced 500miles ago, and i've just had the rears replaced as well thinking it was them.

But i'm still getting it, basically from 15mph to 0, usually on light braking I get a horrid grinding like i've got dead pads, i just cant work it out, any suggestions.

The car brakes from speed in a straight line, it doesnt pull on rolling, in fact its no different to its ever been apart from the noise.

I have no excess road noise either!

Car is a 99 turbo, standard sized grooved discs and RS42 blue pads, braided hoses. Its really beginning to get on my nerves.

Edit: I can feel it through the pedals too!

My first thought was "grooved discs- so much noisier than plain" but then you had these before?
Assuming no physical problem, try filing a chamfer on the leading edge of the pads?

ahh, now there's a thought, I was thinking along those lines originally, thinking that the pad has come lose but then i thought, well they have a pin through them, but you're right, the pin is just on the plate, not the pad itself!

If thats the case, its a manufacturing defect and the suppliers will have to replace right?
