Question

Fitted a Dawes AFR meter over Xmas and it appears the car is running lean - the first light is just being lit under WOT.

I think I'm connected to the correct pin on the ECU - 3rd row down, 3rd pin in looking at back of blue connector, white wire with silver dots.

Measured voltage with DVM and voltage is ~0.8V so the AFR is displaying correctly.

So is this normal for MY00, Full Decat, Green Cotton Air Filter, AE801 (MY99) ECU ?

Also got Knocklink fitted and that shows no indication of knocking.
The knock sensor is fitted on the bolt everyne recommends under the intercooler on the passenger side - this bolt already holds down a bracket so I assume the knock sensor just sits on top of the bracket ?

Recently had it dyno'd at 246BHP so all apears well.

So what do I need to do -

Nothing ?
Change 02 sensor ?
Change MAF ?

From searcing most people change the O2 sensor. Whats the best place to get one of these from ?

Cheers in advance

Mark

Is the dawes afr the one for the scooby is it new and have subaru on it as the one for the scoob has been re-ranged if you have the normal dawes afr i think the first light is about 0.74-0.83 second 0.84-0.89 the third 0.9-0.95 the forth 0.95-1.0 The scooby one is 0.79-0.83 second 0.83-0.85 third 0.85-0.87 forth 0.87- max of sensor .Try connecting a multimeter to the signal wire and drive down the road and get a friend to check the reading re-member you have to warm them up first before they start reading .
Hope this helps

Mark,
That does seem a little worrying, if that is by the first light you mean the red, on anything from half to full throttle I get the blue light, and also, your power would appear a little low for a fully de-called car!! I would have thought more like 260ish, you've defo got the right wire though, I fitted an afr on mine, and got nothing to start with, then I found that the o2 was knacked!
Could do with a little more looking at me thinks!
before she pops!

Cheers Mark & Ron

Connected DVM this morning -

Might be panic over - it appears I've got the non Impreza calibrated one

1st light is red = 0.78V - 0.9V which is leanest
2nd is yellow = 0.9V - 0.94V
3rd is green = 0.94V - 0.98V
4th is blue = > 0.98V which is richest

Impreza calibration is

1st light is red = 0.79V - 0.83V which is leanest
2nd is yellow = 0.83V - 0.85V
3rd is green = 0.85V - 0.87V
4th is blue = > 0.87V which is richest

I'm currently just lighting the 2nd light on WOT = 0.9V which would be the blue (richest) one on the correct AFR meter.

Previous 0.8V measurement (in first post) was at standstill on light throttle.

TFFT

Ron - 246BHP was at Powerstation so not bad I figured.

Cheers

Mark
