Question

I thought I had seen this somewhere on here before, but after doing a few searches can't seem to come up with the proper paint code.

Cheers!

You can try this site:

http://www.frost.co.uk/

They sell a wrinkle/crackle effect VHT spay paint.
Never tried it mind!
Its only £7 on can if you want to experiment! If you try it and it looks pukka let me know.

I was kinda hoping for the original paint colour, other option is to colour code it to my car, which would be easier in a way cos it's sonic blue. - But that's my second option.

Not too much into buying a spray can, it will probably end up looking ****.

Cheers though

Thumbs up

The Frosts stuff is very good. It's a very close match for the original colour and texture (it will look brighter if you've let the original paint get dirty), and provided you degrease the surface first, it sticks like sh*t to a blanket; better in fact than the stuff Subaru use.

We repaint all STi manifolds with Frosts red wrinkle finish as a matter of course for our customers. All are delighted and if you do it correctly the finish is superb.

The secret is getting the manifold hot before painting.

I recommend it above all other versions

What if you don't need to spray the whole manifold, can you use it as 'touch up'?

JF, Frosts code is SP204 Red. Its more red than the STi original which is actually quite orangey. Best match we've ever had though.

No you can't use it as a touch up in our experience it's too messy and there are a number of things that get oversprayed by accident.

Full manifold strip I'm afraid.
