£2000 to spend on mods?

I have a uk99 Scoob with full exhaust and panel filter only,I have recently come by a few quid and intent to blow it all on mods.I like to do track days and the odd drag racing day. Suggestions please gents?

For track days you want to concentrate mainly on suspension and brakes. For drag race you want to work on only the engine !
Which use is the priority ? or are you after a balanced package ?

I am fairly happy with the handling I must say (Alcon discs all round with Mintex pads,sorry didn't mention that!) so I am hoping to reliably up the power. P.s I am still in counselling about getting whupped by you at Knockhill!

Yes, the 99/00's handle that bit better as std than earlier cars. They still benefit from a set of uprated springs though
£2k on the engine for reliable track use, I'd suggest FMIC (see Harveys group buy) VF28/34/35 or FE TD05, Fuel pump and reg, TEK3 remap. Should see you the right side of 320bhp with some change left
Optionally you could possibly skip the remap, get the AFR and knock checked out, fit a Dawes for boost control and save a bundle of £££'s
