HELP...STEAM FROM ENGINE
#1
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but i need to find some solutions to the problem i have asap as its xmas eve tomorrow and need the car over the xmas break.
Went for a spin tonight and as i was pulling on the drive, steam started comign from under the bonnet, loads of steam.
Smells like coolant, at the drivers side, rear of the engine there is coolant/coloured water sprayedall over the fire wall.
The coolant resvoir is empty of water.
The engine temp is normal but as soon as i start the car it steams liek mad.
ANY IDEAS guys?
Cheers In Advance

whack a load of washing up liquid in the system & fill up with water, then start it up, you will get bubbles where the leak is.
could be coming from anywhere, how old is the car ? the rad hoses do perrish with age & can get very small splits which you can not see, then when preasure builds up it comes flooding out.
