Here we go again...

Yesterday, whilst pulling out from a set of traffic lights the car jumped out of first gear *again* (and it wasn't even a very spirited start either)... It's done this once previously, about two months back (1000 miles less on clock). Car now has 4900 miles.

Also, whilst sitting in heavy traffic, the clutch smells burnt, and often when pulling away from junctions etc it really stinks!

Do you guys think I have a case for the garage to have a look at the car? Last time I went I got fobbed off because 'it felt fine'... The problem is it does feel fine most of the time, it's just sometimes it's playing up... I just don't get it! I don't even rag the car, and I'm gentle with the gearbox



*and* to top it off, I curbed the whole outer edge on my passenger side rear wheel going down a dark multistorey car park Good opportunity to get them refurbished and painted in gold, maybe

let the dealers have another look at it, perhaps there is something loose on the selector/gearchange and not fully engaging properly, but whilst under warranty,,pester like 'ell, then they will have to do something!

Like the other reply - don't be fobbed off - there is something wrong and it needs fixing as it could do other damage.

My WRX 03 has 2000 on the clock and is starting to crunch going into 5th with anything more than 3000 revs dialed in. doesnt do it cold though, only once the car has warmed up.

Anyone else had this?
