No, that's right. Performance wise, these cars are as-per the standard MY96 UK Impreza Turbo.

A Prodrive ECU was made available at about the same time as the Series McRae in 1995/1996 and was a dealer fit option.
Check in the footwell under the kickplate. If it has the Prodrive ECU is will be badged as such and will give you 13.64psi instead of 11.47psi.

This equates to approx 240-250BHP

My previous Scoob, a MY94 Prodrive Edition (No. 9 of 20 apparently and for-runner to the McRae) was fitted with the Prodrive chip at a later date. This gave 255BHP with a TSL rear box and centre section)

there was a jap version of the mcrea with 280bhp there is not many of them but saw one on ebay a few week ago and they are basically sti ra's with the mcrea signed seats and plaque

would just like to say i have a series mcrae edition. didnt know about this prodrive ecu buisness, am going to check if have it or not( hope so). had a rolling road done last year and was pulling 250 bhp with centre+back box. does this sound like i may have one. in general how much more power do you get with exhaust done?
