Hi folks - Merry Christmas

I Need some help / advice / w.h.y.

MY02 WRX wagon, owned since new - 20 months... E.I.

Over last 2 weeks had some unusual / irregular Turbo characteristics..

It seems that the turbo is spooling up wierd, like from 4000 - 5500 in a split second (micro second)

Then engine catchs up, or doesn't quite so it drops to say 5100, then off again.

It "feels" much more like a hit when turbo kicks in - all whoosh

rather than the usaul progressive feed, which I'm used to.

Also "feels like" less grunt at bottom, more whizz at top (top tech terms there)

The car is engine wise standard, 25,000 miles and recently serviced?

I think it cant be the weather as it didn't fell like this last winter

and it didn't feel like this ever ? ? ?

Can it be overboosting ? Boost actuator ? Dodgy Turbo ? Mid-life crisis ?

Just wondered if anyone could help, as I dont won't to go pop or something...
