taping noise when my engine is on ticover dose not sound that bad but it is there,any ideas any body,could it be a pricey.

 

had the same problem with my scoob thought it was something serious but all it was a spark plug lead had workd loose pushed it back on no noise and a very releived scoob owner

 

How loud? A little injector ticking noise is normal.

Does it fade when the engine is warm? If so then it could be a ticking tappet. This isn't really worth worrying about.

I've heard the spark plug lead ticking thing before now - it's certainly a possibility, for instance, a coilpack could be beginning to break down.

There's also loads more things (some nasty, some not so nasty) it could be.
