Had my Sti 5 Type R mapped by pat (who also put in an uprated fuel pump). After a particularly long or hard ride, you can hear (what i guess is) the fuel pump fom inside the cabin, and even outside the car! The gears also seem to whine a lot after a fast ride (i.e. lots of heel n toe etc)? Is this anything to worry about?

Not normally, even the pumps supplied with the gen PPP kits do "hum" and resonate inside the cabin. It is simply the way the pump is constructed and not a symptom of failure. Its when you can't hear it, is the time to worry!
