EcuteK Remap on an MY01
#1
Hi Folks
I looking for a little advice.
I have a WRX MY01 (UK Car), currently the only mod I have is a full decat. I'm just debating going for a TEK 3 re-map, is it best to fit a 3 port boost solenoid before the remap and also which is the best dump valve, not too keen on the woosh sound they make, I want it purely for the performance.
Many thanks in advance

dont fit the 3 port b4 you get it mapped, best to have it fitted on the day, i would get the walbro fitted B4 the remap & also consider the induction side, best dumpvalve is the one you have fitted IMHO

Do you need an uprated fuel pump? No. It's possibly a good idea and will give better safety margin and maybe smoother running, but most people running just a decat and an Ecutek are still on the original pump.
Do you need to fit the 3 port solenoid? No. You'll get better boost control, and it's probably worth doing, but again, most people don't have one. If you do fit one, per Andy's advice, get it fitted whilst you're having the map done.
Dump valve will not generally improve performance (unless your old one leaks). May help slightly with holding onto boost during gearchanges, but that's about it, and it'll be fairly minor effect IMHO.
