Had heating on full and recirc switch on fresh air but even after 15 mins running, air was still cold (Like dial was on fully cold position). Played around with the recirc switch and the fan speed and all of a sudden had the normal hot air I would expect from the car when fully warmed up.
Had noticed that car was steaming up very easily in the mornings recently which is similar to the problems I have read on here regarding heater matrix but haven't got smell others mention or demist problem once car was warm.
Anyone got any ideas ?
Cheers.

lack or water in coolant system or trapped air are probably your best bets.
On my old car I had a similar problem, turned out that when I turned the temp control switch, it wasn't closing a valve in the ducting properly, so cold air was still able to rush through.

Thanks for the help!
Checked for damp carpets etc - none thankfully. Will also check the coolant level.
Hopefully it was just air in the system. This kind of makes sense as timing belt had been done 2 months ago and the dealer mentioned air could be in the system. Would have thought it would have gone by now though.
If not then will check the switches etc.
Just my luck to get an intermittant fault just as the warranty is running out!!
Cheers.

if it's the dealer that caused it then take it back for them to sort!
It may just be that the system needs bled, unfortunately I don't know where the bleeding points are but I'm sure someone will oblige...

what i did is ran the car with the cap of, the main tank not the daft thing next to the headlight
then filled it up and waited for the bubbles to apear, i also had the fans on and the temp control on hot
kept topping up until the bubbles stopped and the sir inside the car came out warm
that reminds me i have no coolant in the car just water

I would start the car and let it warm up , feel the heater hoses under the intercooler and make sure they get warm. If both hoses get warm the problem is likely to be the vent flap or linkage. If the hoses do not get very hot then the likely cause is an airblock.
I had an airblock when I changed my heater matrix. I filled the matrix and kept the pipes high the filled the system connecting the pipes as the coolant level rose.
