Informed you all that after plugging the select monitor in
and resetting ECU that lost it's lumpy miss fire type tickover.

Well it's back again.AARRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHH

Question.
-revs are steady as a rock.
-all the sensors are 100%
-always use optimax and booster.
- car goes great and boosts well.
On light throttle e.g traffic the car seems to miss a beat causing it
to kangaroo very very slightlity, no probs after that.

Could the Decat cause the lumpyness or is it something else?
Should I just live with it?

I've just seen another thread on here about failing maff sensors.

Could a failing Maf sensor cause overfueling?
overfueling effect on tickover/ light throttle - making the plugs mis- drown.
Then as I accelarate they clear?
Just a thought?

Thinking about it I can sometimes get a whiff of fuel
at the lights etc.

Smell of fuel and idle probs?
Could be the turbo to downpipe gasket leaking.
Did you take off any other parts of the exhaust?

It had new up pipe, down pipe, decat and gaskets.

But hey you never know, I'll look at anything at the mo.

Lambda sensor could be iffy, can you borrow one off a mates car to compare?

 

Just had a new one fitted
on the select monitor last Sat it was working 100%

What I can't understand is why would it suddenly be Ok after
plugging the select in then start again after a few days?

Do fault sensors ready Ok, but after a reset they degrade again
and cause problems until thay finally die?

 

Could be the exhaust has settled in place after a few days use and a gasket is now not so tight as it should.
At certain parts of the stroke, air is coming in through the gap, upsetting the Lambda, whilst at other times rich combustion products are going out through the same route.
