Ooh Another post on here for in not so many weeks!!

Right then, Car was going fine until I went to the Rally at wales this weekend.

First of all couldnt get Optimax anywhere so put 20Litres of Unleaded in and took it easy. Put a 1 inch hole in centre silencer when hitting a huge pothole and bottomed the car out.

Took of exhaust welded it up and refitted, No leaks all is cool.

Took out centre console to get to stereo and alarm to fit central locking, During this I had to unplug the HKS Boost Controller Mk4 as the loom goes through a little hole in centre console.

Plugged all back in and off I went

I did a reset on my HKS ECV, Pressing all 3 buttons while turned off and then set it in learning mode and did the two runs to set it up.

Now what I am experiencing is when i go over 6K rpm in 3rd or 4th the boost just cuts of, it is running at 1.1 Bar and not spiking, it just shuts off.. I turned off the ECV and did a run, Albiet car runs at min bar which is .6 and it goes to redline in each gear, allbiet slowly..

Turning back on the EVC It does the same, losing boost over 6K RPM

I have done the learning mode 4-5 times now and still same result..

Even if I set the overboost protection on EVC to say 1.5 bar it still cuts out on 1.1 Bar over 6K RPM.

I have also tried setting boost to .9 bar and it still does same

Is my ECV knackered, Do I have to do more than learning mode??

Any Ideas anyone.....

All I want is to drive my new car... without any hickups!!!

Ok guys, Just looked HKS website and it appears I have a HKS ECV PRO version in my car, I was using instructions printed from net for HKS ECV 4 standard.

My units allows boost up to 3.00 KG/CM2 and has RPM and throttle % on amber display

Anyone here have same unit ??
