Not a problem. The only problem they have is with primary turbo overspooling. This is caused by the removal of the cat converters. So make sure that if it has a big bore that it is from the cat back.

They have increadible performance and are awesome to drive.

Haven't had any problems with mine yet.

Thumbs up

Graham,

A touch more info if possible...BD/BG or BE/BH?

More importantly, which model: GT, GT-B, auto, manual?

Cheers.

Graham

it all depends what you want, doesn't it - you haven't really given us much to go on

I'm assuming you're talking new shape Legacy here?

Servicing - may be difficult to find a real specialist in your area - possibly the only downside

Petrol - probably better consumption than impreza & fine on 97RON (better on Optimax)

Parts - same as any import really - there's a few more in the country now, so I hope that things aren't too bad.

B4 is a great car - & 2 in 1 really. Below 4K it's a refined, quiet m/way cruiser. Spool up the 2nd turbo & it's as fast as most imprezas. Ride/handling is softer than imprezas, but still cuts it on the track.

have a look at

Wink

Hi Graham
they are not normally a problem, but if you were to talk to one of my customers he might disagree.
he's having auto box trouble, but he decided to buy a second hand g/box. more trouble.
anyway if you do buy one think of me @

The twin turbo boxes are still stronger than the single turbo boxes
