MY01 Knocking noise?

I also have the STI strut brace, is in the right area by the top of the front suspension but started on the m/way not rough ground, will check all is tightened up on the brace, thanks.

Just done a short trip (20 miles) and a knocking noise started from under bonnet,
Did not appear to be coming from the engine but from under plastic grill on drivers side by the bulkhead, had been using the wipers and still work fine what else is under there apart from wiper motor? noise even carried on briefly when engine was switched off, as is often the case when a mechanic had a look the noise had gone. Anyone else had the same or any ideas??
