Question

I had two error codes after the check engine light came on recently. One was MAF sensor the other was throttle position sensor, IIRC.
anyhow, I cleaned the MAF wire and put everything back together. started the car the light stayed on for approx 10 secs then light went off.
Is this it, have I cured the problem or do I need to re set the ecu.
Incidentally the light came on 2K miles after fitting a K&N induction kit.

mine (MY99) came on a couple of weeks ago at the same time as a hesitation problem. the light went out after about 5 miles but the hesitation remained (2.5 - 3k revs part throttle). I took it to the dealers who diagnosed 'faulty o2 sensor' from the ecu memory, and it is to be replaced tomorrow.

Not sure now whether the above helps or not! it seems that the light may go off even if the fault remains - as in my case.

Question

Cheers,
So if I reset the ecu I clear the memory, if all is o.k what sequence of flashes should I get if I were to reconnect the wires under the dash?
