Just in case I am about to do something stupid,

Millers CVL (competition Valve Lubricant)
is ok to use in a MY99 with no cats, isn't it.
I normally use the millers octane boost but thought I would try this out for an upcoming trackday.

Yep, that's the best place to use it, it's a little more expensive than the Octane + but gives a greater degree of improvement and protection.

just read the bottle of CVL, one bottle for 20 ltrs (not really keen on buying another 2 bottles at nearly £6 each)
Can I mix it with the normal millers octane boost?

According to Millers themselves there is no problem mixing the two as long as you have the catalytic convertors removed

Yep that's correct Andy, CVL isn't really cat friendly and can be mixed with Octane+ BUT.

The gains would be minimal and you would probably be better off doing either one or the other?

For track day use you can add a bit of extra safety by doubling the dose rate of Octane +.

Yes Mikee, CVL is better (different) to Octane + it is needed in almost 3 x greater quantity/dose rate and is around double the cost.

It is good stuff though and (if memory serves me correctly) is the only fuel additive with FIA approval.
