Please could you check your boots and tell me if you see anything you would not expect. (underneath the carpet).

I`m not a yank I`m a brit who followed his heart. I`m on about the black tar on the side of the wheel well has it melted to the bottom of the carpet yet.

Sorry mate - in the US is the boot at the front of the car or the back. The whole at the front (under the bonnet) of my car has an engine in it, the one at the back (boot) has a big hole - underneath which is a spare tyre.

Is that what you meant???
