I was behind a classic the other day at some lights – when it revved its engine you could hear the whoosh of the dump valve kicking in.

I have the sti7 and a forge dump valve fitted – when I am stationary and rev the engine the dump valve never kicks in!!

Is this something to do with the exhaust he had on as mine is standard!!

How would I get mine to do this?

Thanks
Nick

It may be he has a different turbo fitted which is running up to boost quicker, or different management setup. Not something you can easily do without sending a bit of money.
