How would i know if my cars been remapped?

If you're talking about a Subaru ECU, the only way to find out directly is to download the ROM image and compare it with a known standard one.
It should be possible to find out indirectly by comparing the boost level with what it "should" be, but this isn't the most scientific way of finding out, and may miss a milder remap.

you could prob e-mail serial no of ecu to EcuTek & ask if its been breathed upon i would suspect
