Hi
My car (my00 Standard alarm) has developed a strange phenomenon, When I unlock it, it decides that it doesn't want to be open and promptly locks itself again, but, it doesn't reset the alarm, it is possible to open the door while it's unlocked for the few seconds but you have to be quick!
I've taken it to the dealers who fitted a new central locking solenoid, but that didn't cure the problem, I was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar situation, and what the fix was?
Cheers
Ron

Ron,
I think they were close!!! I have seen two scoobys with this fault, both times it was the multi plug that goes to the locking solenoid, it plugs "uphill" and so water can get in and corrode the terminals. You do have to look hard to spot the problem. Hope this helps!!!!!

Hi Chris
Thanks for that I'll take a look, the dealer is 30mls away so I'll just rip the door apart myself!
