Since aquiring 2 12" subs for my boot I have found that my rear hi-line spoiler with a brake light rattles like a pig.

I've gone to remove it today so I can fill it with foam or something to stop the rattling and found that the two visible bolts (not the ones under the rubber bungs) just spin and spin and spin. I can't get them off! Is this normal or am I being stupid?

Help!

Sorry no idea.

Remove the subs, make the car slow. Listen to the engine, its the way to go.

Good suggestion and looks like it's going to be the only solution short of cutting the spoiler off!

I've just tried WD40 on the nuts but the bolts are still turning with them.

It sounds like the insert in the spoiler has come detached from the hole its in.
Be careful as you don't want any paint damage
I have to remove my low spoiler soon as I bought a hi line one, I hope I don't get the same problems
Best of luck

John
