solenoid cleaning - where are the connectors?
#1
Cleaned my wastegate solenoid yesterday,
squirted crb cleaner in there and took it for a blast.
I've read about two green or black connectors under the steering column to send the car into mad cow mode to help with cleaning. Can't find em.
looked everywhere and all I could see was a black insulated male and female spade terminal which weren't connected. what do these connectors look like? anyone got a piccy or description?
cheers

They are two very bright green plastic connectors located under the dash behind the steering column, very easy to find on my car. They are next to the two black ones you mention.

These are up into the footwell above the clutch with all the other cables and are realy bright green. They will probably be connected to other cables with insulation tape as i found out on Friday when i done mine.I took the solenoid off and wrapped it with an old cloth so it doesnt go on the paint work and sprayed brake cleaner inside then connected the clips together and hey presto it cleaned the ****e out of it.If you get it right the cooling fan goes on and off all the time and dont forget to take the clips apart after.I know get more boost in 1st and 2nd gears.

Gents,
I've looked and looked for these connectors on my 94 WRX but can't find them . Anyone else out there with early WRX's who can confirm the connectors exist on early cars ?
Regards,
John
