ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE IN HAVING FRONT WINDOWS REPLACED AS THERE IS A FAULT WHICH SCRATHES THE WINDOWS WHEN THEY GO UP AND DOWN.

I WAS TOLD BY EAGLESHAM GARAGE WHENI LOOKED AT A CAR THERE THAT IT WAS A FAULT WHICH WOULD BE RECTIFIED

Yes, got slight scratches on both my front windows (about 1" from the door mirror).

Seems to be scratching as the window winds up/down as you said.

Mine goes for service soon and I will get it looked at. Did you get yours sorted under guarantee (did you need the windows replaced?)?

I beleive I have seen it in Halfords, not used it yet but I will give it a go, not on the car until I have tested it on a mirror or something.

dealers should do this problem under warranty as it is caused by the little furry pads that the glass slides on. you should get new glass and new pads.

My MY00 does this as well. Driving along and a little bit of black rubber came of of the triangle on the drivers door the wing mirror mounts on. Leaves black marks on the windows but it looks like no scratches. Going in for its 22k service soon so the dealer is going to fix this. Dealer said no problem as things should not just fall off.
