#1
Hi there,
Anyone tell me how to get access to ECU on a 00MY? Is it behind the glove box? and as such remove a couple of screws and hey presto???????
Secondly the centre binacle on top of dash - is this two screws under the blanking plates and off it comes?
Any tips appreciated!!!!

ECU access..
ECU is located under the carpet in the passenger footwell.
1) remove plastic cover on RHS of footwell ( a couple of push clips)
2) remove plasic kick panel from door sill (screwed and clipped)
3) Roll carpet back (there may be some clips holding it)
4) remove 4 screws from shiny metal plate in footwell.
Hey presto one ECU.
Not to sure about the centre pod, I have a MY96 which I believe is slightly different, but I have
1) 2 screws under covers above the stereo
2) 2 screws under the gear lever rubber boot
3) lots of little clips around the gear lever which just gently pull out.
Hope this helps

remove the 2 screws under the blanking plate and give it a good yank!
putting it back in takes a bit more care as it tends to get caught on the air ducts and the lip at the back gets caught on the dash
good luck.
