Ive got a 99 scoob, uk spec.
When i accelerate it seems to hesitate, if I accelerate hard then it seems that the hesitation disappears... but its got to be hard acceleration, foot to the floor.
The scoob accelerates quickly, put it feels like its pulling back, and seems to feel jumpy.
Any ideas whats up?.
Its got 27,000 on the clock, could it be the air intake?.

I had the same problem some time ago, know gone you need to do the following / it could be the following:

Bad fuel.

Check all hoses are tight and sitting flush with mounts, esp Inter cooler hoses

You have done 27k your plug will be changed at 30k this could be a problem.

Lead, check for split, or lead ends popping off the spark plugs. common prob

After all that let me know when you have done all this and you have noticed a change.

Don't forget m8

I solved this problem on my RB5 by adding a Pipercross induction kit. The replaced filter looked filthy and the results were better than I had hoped.

My MY00 does this as well, 18k miles at six months old. I put this down to a characteristic of the car. Will check the things listed. I would have expected the dealer to do this at its 15k service though. After not putting the sump plug back in properly (oil all over garage floor and a 5 minute call out for the AA!!!) I suspect they did F*** All.
