Hi,

I've noticed that after a good thrashing (up to 6k revs on country roads) my Impreza MY00 seems to start "whining" and it appears to be coming from the power steering.

Is this normal? It seems to go away if I drive in OAP mode for a 10 mins or so.

My MY98 and MY99 used to do exactly the same if I drove quickly along one particularly undulating road.
Drive slow and it cleared.
Possibly the oil within the power steering reservoir becoming aerated?

Never caused any problem in 20000 and 24500 miles respectively.
