Unhappy

For the second time in 12 months it seems like my clifford concept 300 is packing in again. I'm going to take it to the local dealerasap but I am wondering has anyone else had serious grief from these units? Also it seems to have knackered a second battery. Any advice appreciated.

Clifford seem to have the reputation of being great when they are working but a sod to get sorted if anything goes wrong.
Wasn't much help, sorry!

The problem with clifford stuff is normally down to installation. In particular, they're very fussy about power supply...

Your warranty is country-wide and your alarm can be rectified by any clifford dealer - perhaps its worth a second opinion?

Hi Mark,
If you need someone to look at your Clifford I can heartily recommend Max Pitts at Max Impact in Leeds.
He only fits Clifford alarms and seems to know them inside out, he is also the north of England rep for the VSIB. Lots of the guys on the "Importing Imprezas" list have used him to fit Cliffords to their Dutch imports and I haven't heard a single grumble.
His email is max.pitts@maximumimpact.f9.co.uk

Surprisingly, Max is the guy who fitted my alarm as well. Utterly top bloke with a profound knowledge of electronics...

Mine is rubbish. It's the same model I think. Keeps going of all the time.

In addition there seem to be a couple of wires just hanging over stuff on the bonnet, I thought a proper install would have all these wires hidden away somewhere ?

Any ideas where to take it to get it fixed, I don't want to take it back to Sextons as I trust them not one bit.

Angry

6.30 tonight alarm goes off for no reason. Can I turn it off? Can I buggery. Resort to methods not suitable for broadcast on the bbs. It is going to the dealer ASAP.

Mine is fine, had it about 20 months now.
I have it serviced every 6 months [£10] just to ensure it is Ok, they give it a good once over, etc etc & give me a new certificate each time.
