has any body got a picture of the maf sensor so i can locate it to change it (gonna take one of another car to try it )

What MY are we talking about?? If its MY99/00 then it is in the induction pipe just before the airbox, you will see a connector going into the pipe, unplug it and unscrew and the MAF is just inside and will pull out.

You'll need a T20 torx key to remove it.
Part number 22794AA010 CP-Airflow Meter. Cost about £75 new from a dealer for the MY99/00 (Been through 2)

They're referring to the later one. Yours is just after the airbox and has a grey four wire plug (inserted from the front) and a black square top. I've mailed you a photo.

its ok i now know that what every one is calling a maf sensor i know it as the air flow meter and i have already changed it. cheers
