Unhappy

i've got a few probs with my 93WRX and am wondering if they are related to the same thing;
1) loud wistle over 0.5bar
2) when i initially floor it a cloud of smoke comes out the exhaust
3) oil level going down no obvious leak
4) noise when idling from turbo area or engine below turbo, is hard to tell ( noise sounds a bit like exhaust blowing

does this sound like just my turbo knackered or is it the whole car

thanks - Matt

My first step would be to find out why the oil level is droping... is the engine burning it off or is it leaking... this could be n oil leak to the turbo which could cause the turbo bearings to go and so you may be hearing the whistle sound...
I had a turbo go on my lorry and there was lots of smoke from the exhaust.. so the exhaust smoke could be turbo related or oil leak related..
best to check why the oil level is droping first
