"DIM" Fascia Dials

the dials in my wrx are really "Dim", so much so that you can hardly see them at night,does anyone know what i can do to rectify this???????

try turning the rheostat thing to brighten them up. it's usally on the light stalk in the guise of a ring that rotates

its a '94 wrx m8 and i've just checked and i cant find anything to adjuct the brightness, anybody else got any advice please

I have a MY95 WRX with the same issue. I dont think you have a problem, it is just a poor design feature of these early cars.

You could always try changing the bulbs and cleaning the connectors and back of the clocks. Don't think it'll make a big difference but it may help.

Kev / Andy,

Take the clocks out, you`ll find there are little rubber sleeves on them (ooer missus ) (normally green) remove these from the bulbs and viola !! instant brightness. Whilst u r in there it is a good idea to renew the bulbs as well. Saves you doing it at a later date In the unlikely event that they still aren`t bright nuff get a set of white dails, the lighting passes through these better. Obviously these are listed cheapest option 1st.
