A guy I know is selling me:

4 Pot Calipers from an STI 5 Type R
MINTEX BLUE 294mm Disks
MINTEX 1155 Pads

Will these bolt straight on to my MY98 UK Spec Turbo?...
Will I have any clearance problems? I'm running 16" Std Wheels that came with my car.....

Hopefully these will sort out any stopping problems I have!

Any info would be gratefully received so I can go ahead with the purchase. Thanks, Matt.

I don't think the wheels fit over the calipers. Although they look the same as the UK MY99 wheels I was told they won't fit.

Best bet is to find someone with 4 pots on a classic and try one of your wheels on it to make sure.

Yes they will fit straight off.

I had 4pots and disks off a P1 under my OEM MY98 16" wheels before I had to buy 17s to fit the godspeeds

Andrew,

Are you sure they will definately fit straight on under the 16's?... I'm just worried the wheel won't clear the caliper.

What's involved in changing them over, and the wheel bearings aren't pressed in to the disks are they?...

Is there anyway of checking the disks aren't warped when I buy them? Thats my only concern with buying 2nd hand disks, pads + calipers.

I really need to get a Haynes manual...

Matt.

Do a search and see how many times this question has been asked before.

If you have the 16" 5 spoke MY98/99 wheels then the Subaru 4 pot calipers and 294mm disks will fit.
