Question

Jst running in my MY00,as I change gear at about 3500RPM there is a rattling/ buzzing sound which sounds like its coming from the clutch or under the bonnet. I know thats a bit vague but I'd welcome your observations. Now it's done 200 miles it seems to be diminishing a bit.
Any suggestions?

Hi CLS,that will be the clutch pipe, drivers side of the bulkhead 4 pipes in a row.Bottom pipe touches the bulkhead and resonates.Bend it out slightly and slide the black sleeve under the white clip.(wish I had a pound for eveyone of those I had done LOL)
Have made it a routine part of PDI/servicing at work cos we see so many

Regards

Steve

Thanks Steve,
that sounds an encouragingly ordinary problem!
I'll let you know how I get on

Cheers

I'm sure Steve's right. I had exactly the same problem (MY00) especially at higher revs. It sounded, and felt through the pedal, horrible! Friends tried it and diagnosed a new clutch at least!

Driving like a granny, in trepidation I took it to my local dealer, not expecting to see the car again for a few weeks. They fixed it in 30 seconds. Relief or what!
