Angry

After recieving 3 dents to my doors in 3 days from inconsiderate B*@#$*!s in car parks I've decided to get the protective door strips.
However dealers say its a half hour job to 1 hour to fit, (eg £25-55).
If I want to fit it myself,(how difficult can it be? ) what adheshive should I use, or does it come supplied with some?
Cheers
Iain

In true Blue Peter tradition they come with dual sided sticky backed plastic. Clean the painted area well with white spirit before attaching. Easy peasy job.

Ken you're a star
I didn't think it would be rocket science! and certainly not worth £25-50 to fix

Iain,

Warming the adhesive strips with a hairdryer first also helps (seriously!!)

Cool

PBH888
Trinidad? What are the roads like there?
Yep they just come in black and I have Deep blue mica and don't look bad at all, dead easy to fit, tho' I expect you wont need a hair dryer to warm the adhesive
Cheers

The roads to the seaside are great corners, a few hazards, up's and down's. Spend most of the time in 2nd and 3rd basically where the power is. And great echoes off the hillsides !!!

Question

I'm sure that I've seen a posting somewhere that said that protection strips from Ford looked better and were even cheaper. Can anyone confirm this?
