This might be old news.

It looks like my waterspray triggers at 7,000rpm in all gears.
Got the distinct "wet" smell this morning whilst gunning the car.
Got the same smell everytime I went over 7,000rpm.
When I stopped, I checked the waterspray nozzle, and it was wet.

This explains why I have to fill up the tank every now and again, even though I don't use the button that much.

Car is STi8, SA Spec (Same as Aus).

Think you'll want the auto spray at lower revs...have you checked to see if she's wet (lol) when 4000 or 5000 revs?

Mine runs on boost and manual switch...it's DIY job...but she's always wet from .5 bar and above.

Well, my car is still relatively new (5,000km). So I only recently started going over 7,000 rpm...And I didn't notice it before, so I think higher revs only...Will check at lower revs (I doub;t it though), but you know how difficult it is to stay below 7,000rpm...

Strange that, if it's only above 7,000. Wonder what makes it kick off spraying??
