Question

Hi,

Getting a loudish medium pitch buzz from the front of my '96 (MY 97) WRX, between 90- 100.. er on the track

Not feeling anything through the steering or chassis, prodded, poked and shook everything I can think of with no joy.

Anyone got any idea?

Also, where's the dump valve? know what they look like but can't find it! Shouldn't it be on/ near to the I/C? I/C is black with STI sticker on it so may have been changed by prev owner?

Need to find it and change to a re-circ before the wife divorces me. lol

Thumbs up

guys, this buzzing is probably a loose heatshield. mine does that and is normally when enginer under load at low revs. i get them to tighten it every service and its ok for another few weeks before starting again....

Try cleaning the actuator valve, I read recently that they can stick and cause a hum. Probably a small amount of engine oil inside.Let me know the outcome please.
