Question

where is the limiter housed on a november 97 wrx.

As with all the speed limiters on Imports it is actually mounted in the ECU i beleive. I may be completely wrong though. To get rid of it you either have to have the ecu reprogrammed or fit a speedo converter, it changes the gearing on the speedo to MPH and as a side effect changes the limit to 180MPH instead of 180 KPH.

Hi there,

You are correct, the limiter is built into the ECU and isnt a seperate model.

You can get seperate converters and delimiters. Look to pay upto 130 quid for an external delimiter model.
