Help!

My car (STi5) was recently stolen, quickly recovered (no major damage - just steering lock etc broken). It's been repaired, but UK/European lock&keys were fitted. When started, the dreaded Check Engine light comes On, flashing (never experienced before)! I know my old Turbo had a small Chip in the key (dealer said it was an Immobiliser), the STi has no such thing. Bulldog Motors did a diagnostic but no error codes showed.

Any ideas as to what's happening, who is the best outfit to check this out (Berkshire/Surrey area)?

You will probably have to source a proper "jap spec" ignition lock for it, as the Euro ones dont have correct code signal to work properly. yes it will start car, but does leave check light on. If donr by insurance company, get them to sort, get in touch with the engineers dept.
