What is involved in replacing wheel nut bolts, and what tools are required. I crossthreaded a couple last weekend at Wroughton.

Any help very gratefully receieved.

This is quite a common problem with Impreza's. The nuts are chrome plated and if the chrome flakes inside the nut, being harder than steel, it rips the stud thread to pieces.

If you change your wheels frequently, such as for track days, I would suggest changing to better quality wheel nuts.

A wet paddock on a Sunday night is no place to find you have just lost your means of holding the wheels on.
